Story:
Ranga Babu (Allari Naresh) is a car driver and he is close friends with Srinivas (Srinivas) since childhood. Srinivas is from a rich family and he lives in the US. The story takes a turn when Srinivas comes to India for getting married and his parents (Jeeva, Sana) want him to tie the knot to Raja Rao's (Ahuti Prasad) daughter Manimala (Madhurima) who lives in a different place. However, Srinivas has a condition that he must know the girl's character. For this, he asks Ranga Babu to take his role while he becomes the driver. As expected, misunderstandings and confusions arise, what happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Artist performances:
Allari Naresh was the show stealer as usual, he carries out his role with aplomb and scores on the comedy front. Madhurima is a naturally seductive girl so it is important she gets a proper make up artist and costume designer, that didn't happen here. Performance wise, she was active. Srinivas Avasarala was good. Krishna Bhagawan was his usual satire self and he managed to get few smiles for his lines. Jeeva was contained while Sana was apt. MS Narayana was usual, Jayalalitha was regular, Jayaprakash Reddy's potential was not used to the fullest, Ahuthi Prasad was another performer with some interesting dialogues.
Plus points:
* Allari Naresh
* Dialogues
* Song picturization
* Madhurima's glamour
* Comedy
Minus points:
* No proper storyline
* Inconsistent screenplay
* Typical Vamsi characters floating around in the screen
* No logic in the plot
* Feel missing in few scenes
Analysis:
This is a film which will work with those who understand the Vamsi style of movie making. It is not rocket science but then his comedy, his presentation is typical and one has to get used to it to actually relish it. The technical values were alright and performances were good but due to the poor content and lack of a proper theme, there are hiccups in the script. However the on and off hilarious situations make up for the defect. Though it is not much of a brain feeder, it just gives a light feel once it is completed. At the box office, it could have strong openings due to Allari Naresh and Vamsi brand.
Verdict: Time pass…not for those who look for logic and story
