Mr. Singh Mrs. Mehta: A Solid Bore
Cast: Prashant Narayanan, Aruna Shields, Lucky Hassan and Naved Aslam
Rating:
Director: Pravesh Bhardwaj

June 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Aditya Mehta (Prashant Narayanan) is an artist who is more shown painting his wife’s toenails than the colours of the canvas. His wife Sakhi Mehta (Lucy Hassan) is shown to be having an extramarital affair with Karan Singh (Naved Aslam). Now, Karan’s wife Neera Singh (Aruna Shields) discovers that her husband is cheating on her and she ends up seeking solace in Aditya’s company. They get drawn together by shame and anger as they find more comfort in each other’s friendship. But despite bonding well, they try not to have a relationship with each other.

One fails to understand that though the adultery is shown openly obvious since the start, why do Aditya and Neera never try to confront their respective partners over it? Trying to make the film more provocative widespread nudity has been incorporated on the pretext that overcome his block by painting nude female form ala Leonardo DiCaprio in Titanic. Now funnily, Neera is shown to be shying away from posing nude for the painting that Aditya wants to do, despite the fact that she has been shown moving around naked in Aditya’s warehouse for big part of the film. What irritates more are the continually censored blurs that attempt to cover up her nude body. The climax is supposedly symbolic but it is too rushed that you end up feeling there some more of the film left! There is nothing wrong in making a complete art house project but at least let the film connect on some level or derive some emotion out of the viewer apart from frustration!

Debutante director Pravesh Bhardwaj takes his own sweet time to establish the growing proximity between Aditya and Neera but leaves it hurriedly towards the climax. The film’s shot in London but you don’t see much of it apart from some unflattering lanes of London. A wonderful ghazal based track by Shujaat Hussain Khan goes waste in a film like this.

Prashant Narayanan is just about okay but he has done better work before. Aruna Shields is made to expose her body more than her acting skills. Lucky Hassan is passable. Naved Aslam is fair.

The film is a plain bore with nothing good to talk about. Please avoid!

Krantiveer – The Revolution: Not A Patch On The Old One
Rating:
Starring: Introducing Jahan Bloch, Samir Aftab, Adiya Singh Rajput, Harsh Rajput, Farida Jalal, Ranjeet, Govind Namdeo, Mukesh Tiwari and Aman Verma
Director: Mehul Kumar

June 25, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Designed as a sequel to the super successful Krantiveer (1994) which got Nana Patekar the Best Actor, National Award, Krantiveer – The Revolution (KTC) is a weak attempt at recreating the patriotic fervor which the original had.

Roshni (Jahan Bloch) is the young daughter of the man responsible for the last revolution, Pratap Narayan Tilak and his wife (Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia). She just like her dad wants to rid the nation of corruption, and the evils present in the society. She gets herself a platform by joining a TV channel as an investigative journalist. She is hell bent on exposing all the scams in the country including those involving high profile businessmen and top ministers. Along with her friends Vishal (Samir Aftab), Goldie (Aditya Singh Rajput) and Uday (Harsh Rajput) she takes this crusade forward and becomes successful eventually despite many odds.

The sole reason why Krantiveer was a success was because of KK Singh’s dialogues, Nana Patekar’s character and Mehul Kumar’s direction. Here Singh is not involved with the project, Nana is not acting in the film and the veteran director though having made a sincere attempt, falls short. There is no direct relation of the plot to any of the 26/11 terror attack scenes which come towards the climax. Though Mehul Kumar has tried to show authenticity by using footage of the 26/11 terrorists attacks, he fails to impress the audiences.

His debutante daughter Jahan has been made to rant lengthy dialogues from the word go. While she does it with sincerity, it doesn’t really work. Too much responsibility has been given on her shoulders leaving less scope for the rest. New comers Samir Aftab, Adiya Singh Rajput, Harsh Rajput put in their honest efforts too. Senior actors like Ranjeet, Farida Jalal hardly get any scope to perform. Aman Verma playing the corporate head honcho, Mukesh Tiwari and Govind Namdeo playing sleazy ministers act well.

Music by Sachin-Jigar is passable and the songs ‘Khuda mere khuda’ and ‘Chhote tera birthday aaya’ work on screen. But the songs ‘Firangi paani’ and ‘Lau jalee’ were not needed. Editing and cinematography don’t match up to standards.

Though it may not be worth an effort to go to the cinema hall, the film definitely appears like a genuine attempt to awaken the young Indians to come forward and erase corruption from our politics.

Film: Raavan
Starring: Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Govinda, Ravi Kissen and introducing Vikram
Rating:
Director: Mani Ratnam

Since the time of the announcement of Mani Ratnam’s Raavan, curiosity about how India’s most accomplished filmmaker manages to do a modern day adaptation of the mythological epic, Ramayan, has known no bounds. Thankfully, Mani succeeds in his own inimitable way. His team’s painstaking hard work shows in every frame of the film and his actors help him raise the film’s bar.

The film opens with policemen killed at various places around Lal Maati, a small town in Northern India. This is followed by abduction of the local police chief Dev’s (Vikram) wife Raagini (Aishwarya Rai). The dreaded low cast tribal lord Beera (Abhishek) is behind the kidnapping. Dev (Vikram) immediately gets hot on the trail of Beera with trusted lieutenant Hemant (Nikhil Dwivedi) and seeks the help of the jovial forest guard Sanjeevani (Govinda). Beera knows the dense jungle like the back of his hand and is helped by the tribals, managing to stay just one step ahead of Dev and his team. But as the cat and mouse chase proceeds between Beera and Dev, the initial hate of Raagini for Beera subsides. As Dev inches closer, the near maniacal Beera shows he has a heart too and Raagini almost loses hers to him. What follows after Beera and Dev come face to face forms the rest of the film.

Taking on a mega epic like Ramayan and turning it on its head giving his own personal interpretation, Mani Ratnam dares to depart from the religious text and succeeds in showcasing how Ram can be a Raavan and how a Raavan can also be a Ram. Aided by the best technical crew of Indian cinema, Mani has made his multilayered film, a technical marvel to watch with awe. The first half moves on rapidly mostly focusing on Dev’s chase of Beera, but however it gets boring beyond a point since the story hardly moves ahead. Mani also fails to establish the exact setting of the outlaws. Are they Naxals or a modern day Robin hood gang? But it is the beginning of the second half where Mani begins to pack his solid punches and achieves the peak with an unusual climax. Beera’s background (the reason for Raagini’s abduction), Dev’s impatience to grab Beera, Raagini’s gradual change of perception about Beera and eventually the final face off between Dev and Beera have all been terrifically captured.

Abhishek is nothing short of brilliant, portraying Beera. If you thought Abhishek delivered his best under Mani in Yuva and Guru, watch Raavan for his evolvement into an actor of true caliber. Aishwarya Rai delivers a top notch act. Makeup less and forever battered and bruised, Aishwarya’s eyes convey a lot more than the shrieking her character has to resort to most of the time. Vikram unfortunately is saddled with a one dimensional character for most part of the film until the climactic punch. He looks fearless and arouses enough curiosity as an actor to watch him play Beera in the Tamil version of the film. Govinda as Sanjeevani brings on the much required comic relief in the tense proceedings and succeeds. Ravi Kissen grabs the opportunity to impress with both his hands and does well. Priyamani playing Beera’s sister, in her brief role manages to bring out the pathos of her unfortunate character.

Mani takes you to virgin locations within India never exposed before on screen. Be it the thick dense forests in Kerala or the same state’s dangerous Athirappally Waterfalls or the exotic Orcha in Madhya Pradesh and Malshej Ghat valley in Maharashtra, Santosh Sivan and Manikandan’s camera captures it all with super finesse. The action finale on the hanging bridge, a never seen before feat in Indian cinema makes your heart skip a beat.

Oscar winner A.R. Rahman’s music coupled with Gulzar’s lyrics is mesmerizing but Mani hardly gives any time for any song to register any impact, as if in a quick hurry.

The subtle statement Mani incorporates against the system on behalf of the low caste have-nots is laudable but could have been a little more elaborate. Nevertheless, as Mani Ratnam’s metaphoric interpretation of the grand epic, Raavan definitely deserves a visit to your nearest cinema hall for its plusses certainly over ride its minuses.

Review:
Cast: Ragava Larencce, Lakshmi Rai, Padmapriya, Sandhya, Ramesh Kanna, Manorama, Nasser, MS Baskar, Vyapuri, Delhi Ganesh and Ilavarasu
Direction: Chimbu Devan
Production: S.Ramesh Babu, Ganesh S
Music: G V Prakash
South Indian Cinema is growing really fast and testimonial to that is Super Cowboy directed by ‘humour-in-blood director’ Chimbu Deven, who made Himsinche Raju 23va Pulikesi. ‘Super Cowboy’ is the rebirth of the cowboy films in Tamil cinema, a movie that is a mixed bag of entertainment.

Hollywood is a kingpin in the cowboy genre, with a lot of heroes in fact carving a niche for themselves including Gregory Peck, Clint Eastwood and a host of other cowboy heroes. ‘Super Cowboy’ is an inspired movie of one such page from the big book of cowboy history. Firstly, credit and two thumbs up to director Chimbu Deven to make such a movie that needs a lot of effort and specially attention to detail. He has brought out a wholesome entertainment.

Starting the movie with the narration from the director himself about the evolution of cowboy culture in the world, he gives examples of different cowboys in different countries with conclusion of the narration with cowboys in India, in particular south India. Here is introduced Jaishankarpuram, a village that has a lot of cowboys (even cow woman) and horses! Jaishankarpuram is in the clutches of the villain Nasser as Nalla Trachu who lives in the ‘Iron Fort’ in USApuram. Nalla Trachu also dictates terms on five other villages. He is a wicked man, mind you! With only one eye and the other being a dummy!

In between all this, hero Larencce as ‘Simhachalam’ is introduced as a helper. He is good at heart and has adopted four children in his village ‘Sholaypuram’. Due to unforeseen circumstances he is ordered to hang till death and this is where a group of people save him from the hangman’s platform. Larencce is saved by this group headed by Mouli, senior comedian in Tamil. His men are Ilavarasu, Ramesh Kanna and Vaiyapuri who want to save their village from Nalla Trachu. They find Simhachalam similar in appearance to Simham, the brave Marshall who is not to be seen for sometime A deal is negotiated with Larencce who is taken to Jaishankarpuram as Simham.

Larencce is shown as the same brave Marshall Simham who is faster than his shadow. He is as fast as lightning when it comes to shooting the gun. So the new Simham gets accustomed to all the antics of the original Simham. In the village, veteran actors Manorama and Delhi Ganesh are introduced to Larencce. At this juncture Padma Priya is introduced as Bali who instantly finds a soft corner for the hero.

Lets leave the hero’s village now and go to the Villain’s camp at the Iron Fort. Nasser is always in the company of his close aides Lakshmi Priya and seasoned Telugu actor Sai Kumar. Sai Kumar is the right hand of the villain who goes by the order of his boss. In between the hero’s and the villain’s camp is a Red Indian village where the tribals are pure vegetarians. With the introduction of this village in the movie, MS Bhasker, the leader of the tribal group, his father Senthil, and his beautiful daughter Sandhya are also introduced. The funniest character in the movie, Sams as Lee the translator of the tribal language is also introduced in this point. The Red Indians are pivotal in the story of the movie. It is for you to find out at the theatre!

The gist of the story: The villagers at Jaishankarpuram find a map that is hidden in their ‘Timesquare’. But it is only one half they have. They have to find the other half to hunt for treasure that is preserved and hidden somewhere far away. But the villain, Nasser has other plans. He negotiates a deal of freeing prisoners in exchange of the treasure. Does the Marshall Simham along with Sai Kumar, Lakshmi Rai, Vaiyapurai, Ilavarasu, MS Bhasker and Sams find the treasure? The answer awaits your presence in this not-to-be-missed entertainer!

Larencce as the hero has flaunted his natural style. The man oozes with confidence for having bagged such a coveted cowboy role. But the real hero of this movie is director Chimbu Deven. He has developed a screenplay that is not dragging, not boring and most importantly highly entertaining. He has proved it yet again; he is a director who thinks out-of-the-box! The narration is highly innovative. Sample this – The village priest also wears a cowboy hat, suggesting him to be a cowboy priest! Many more funny things for you to see at the theatre including websites for their village heroes! Translator of the tribal Sams as Lee and his translations are really funny and give the audience a healthy laugh. All the actors have done a commendable job, given their character’s scope.

Chimbu Deven makes the audience not just giggle but laugh out loudly at most times of the movie. The director has also chosen his team very carefully. The cinematographer Azhagappan has done a tremendous job of handling his camera. The adventure scenes, the horse chase sequences and even picturing the songs are truly appreciable. At this juncture, one would be in awe of the sets that have been designed to get the feel of the cowboy film. Be it the guns in the movie, the Jaishankarpuram village, the Iron Fort, the imaginary mountains (help of computer graphics) or the treasure caves, art director Muthuraj receives full marks for his extraordinary art direction. He has crafted a true cowboy village and the visuals will transport you to that world.

Equally receiving praise is costume designer Sai, who has got the right clothes to suit the story. Every character in the movie gets a hat! The Red Indians and their costumes are designed well, completing the attire! Make up for the actors, especially the rotten teeth of Sai Kumar and the empty eye of Nasser is significantly noticeable by Nehru.

The pace of the movie is thoroughly enjoyable. Songs are not at awry places and the screenplay does not have a lag, especially handling a few flashback scenes in the middle that talk about the original Simham. Editing has been immaculate. Editor Raja Mohammed, the national award winning editor for Paruthi Veeran, has done an amazing job.

Moving to the music, with a dancer like Larencce as the hero, G V Prakash has done a good job composing a few peppy numbers. Re-recording in the movie is appreciable and so is the choreography, in a few songs dance is worth mentioning. Larencce, dance masters Sridhar and Siva Shankar are the choreographers in the movie.

The movie scores marks in almost all departments. Minuses exist but not in large numbers. Heroines Padma Priya, Lakshmi Rai and Sandhya could have been used effectively. The background music by G V Prakash is heavily inspired by adventure classic ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.

Comedy forms the basis of the movie. Chimbu Devan has evoked laughter many a time and like his all his movies, the absence of vulgarity makes this a family entertainer. Cowboy hats, horses and the shelling guns, Super Cowboy succeeds in entertaining you effortlessly! Kudos to the Super Cowboy team!

Andari Banduvaya Movie Review : Andari Banduvaya is a brilliant film by director Chandra Siddarth which will leave a smile on your face. There is humour, romance, melodies, and meaningful dialogues in the movie. Andari Banduvaya story of good people who spread goodness and every character exude happiness that is so visible on their visages, Each frame from the first to the last spills character that is selfless and sacrificing. The movie is all about giving in some form or the other, there is no iota of selfishness, there is dignity in work, and finally a beautiful message that inheritance, legacy is not about blood it is to do with character, the good qualities that one imbibes. The lead pair share a bonhomie that is infectious. Even the villain has a golden heart and no mistake committed by the characters in the film are big enough to be called blunders.
The film has no big stars, no big names, no item numbers or crackling, over-the-top dialogues. There are no compliments, no obligations, there is just love, sunshine and happiness. Watching the film makes you feel good, feel nice and feel pure. It’s like a feeling you get when you give up non-vegetarian food, it’s like adopting a child, it’s like living in a utopian world.
Watch it once and you will see it work on you asap, you are sure to find god in every person you talk to, every animal that crosses you and every bird that flies past you. Andari Banduvaya is a celebration of a good life, Be a part of it?

Film: Simha
Rating: -3.5/5
Banner: United Movies
Producer: Parachuri Sivarama Prasad, Parachuri Kiriti
Direction: Boyapati Srinu
Cast: Nandamuri Balakrishna, Nayantara, Sneha Ullal, Namitha etc..
Cinematography: Arthur Wilson
Music: Chakri
Editing: Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao
Theatrical Release: 30/04/2010

Sensational movie of this summer is ‘Simha’ with Balakrishna in astonishing role. Lets see how did it roar on the silver screen…
Story:
Sriman Narayana (NBK) is a strict lecturer in a college and doesn’t tolerate injustice of any kind and goes to any extent for opposing it. He meets Janaki (Sneha) who he knows in flashback. She is in love with Sriman Narayana. Who is Sriman Narayana in flashback and how are they related forms the rest of the story.
Performances:
Balakrishna gave an ecstatic experience to all the audiences with his punch dialogues and royal mannerism. It’s visual treat to all the Nandamuri fans to watch him on screen with his delightful smile.
Sneha Ullal attracted with her cute and juvenile looks. Nayantara with ethnic bride looks was perfect and did justice to her role. Namitha is looking oomphy but plumpy. Normal telugu audiences suggests her to shed her weight to continue in Tollywood.
K R Vijaya suits the best for her hole. Aditya Menon was apt, he has strong screen presence, Brahmanandam was routine, Ali, Krishna Bhagawan has nothing to do much, Venu Madhav filled few portions of grin, Kota Srinivas Rao was decent in his role.
Technical Analysis:
It’s a big festival and retreat of Nandamuri fans. As Jr NTR stated, that they are waiting for a long time for a big success. And this movie definitely address that concern to an extent. But its lacks innovative story line. Similar to old hits films of Balakrishna and Director Boyapati Srinu, scenes are filled with engraving heads with specially designed weapons. The episodes in the climax resemble the fight scenes of Legendary Magadheera.
Highlights of Balakrishna’s scenes/Dialogues that delighted audiences the most:
Nenu maatladetappudu nee chevule pani cheyyali. Adi tappa vere edainaa pani cheste neeku next birth day undadhu.
Charitra srushtinchalanna, tiraga raayalanna maa vamsame cheyyaali
Balayya giving punch on the face of a patient brings him back alive who was in coma for almost 28 years.
Music and RR is at its best in the movie. Songs scored good marks on a whole.

First half is average and the second half is packed with high dose flash back episode with lot of action. In total, it’s a Nandamuri fans repeatedly must watch flick…And one time watch for others.

Raajneeti- Dirrrty Politics, Grrreat Movie!Starring: Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Katrina Kaif, Manoj Bajpai and Naseeruddin Shah
Director: Prakash Jha
Rating:

It is said that the epic saga of Mahabharata contains all the stories that exist in this world, be it lies, deceit, lust for power, revenge. In short all those that can make a solid impact. Prakash Jha taking a cue from this has set his big canvass film Rajneeti against an Indian political backdrop. But then at the same time he has merged dollops of The Godfatherwithin it. Nonetheless, the end product makes a compelling watch.

Cousins Veerendra Pratap Singh (Manoj Bajpayee) and Prithvi Pratap Singh (Arjun Rampal) are heirs of a powerful political party. But when Prithvi is appointed to take the lead, an angry Veerendra teams up with the backward class leader Sooraj (Ajay Devgan) to plot against Prithvi and evict him from the party. Prithvi’s younger brother Samar (Ranbir Kapoor) who is studying abroad and has no political aspirations gets sucked into the political rivalry between the families. Under the mentoring of senior party and family member Brij Gopal (Nana Patekar), Samar takes charge of the conniving affairs of state to start their own political party, gather funds and get Prithvi contest against Veerendra. What unfolds next as the battle shifts ground to the elections forms the rest of the film.

Like mentioned above, as the film mixes in elements from the Mahabharat, Veerendra’s character is a modern day Duryodhan where as Sooraj is Karan, a valiant soldier but on the wrong side. Brij Gopal played by Nana Patekar is like Krishna, the passive participant of the war who takes Ranbir Kapoor’s Arjun like character to victory with his guidance.

The film is a valiant effort by the master story teller, the multi-time National Award winner filmmaker, Prakash Jha who is at his home ground while making films of political drama genre. Here he is as ably aided by script writer Anjum Rajabali weaving just the right story and screenplay packing in all the treachery and deceit involved with Indian politics. What makes Rajneeti an engaging watch is also the fact that the makers have succeeded in narrating the story like a thriller format.

Jha doesn’t waste time in showing lip synced songs and incorporates them well in the narrative playing them in the background. Camerawork by Sachin Kumar Krishnan is simply superb. The way he has captured those vast mass shots deserves a bow. Although the running time of the film is close to three hours, it doesn’t matter much while watching the film and the credit for it goes to the editor Santosh Mandal. The sound design carries a good impact as well.

Absolutely brilliant performances by every single actor of the mammoth cast, also including those with smaller parts. As expected Naseeruddin Shah, Nana Patekar and Ajay Devgan are at their best. Arjun and Ranbir manage to match up to them as well and deliver a power packed punch. Katrina impresses with her uninhibited act. Sara Thompson as Ranbir’s foreigner girlfriend also leaves an impact in her relatively smaller part. But a performance that may win some awards for sure has been delivered by Manoj Bajpai. He is menacingly good. Shruti Seth, Vinay Apte, Kiran Karmarkar, Chetan Pandit and Nikhila Trikha lend able support.

Rajneeti is an important film in today’s times. It is not to be missed by connoisseurs of good cinemas well as those who forever complain that Hindi cinema offers nothing different.

Review:
Chalaki is a remake of a Malayalam movie Chocolate, about a lone young man joining a women’s college, having his share of fun, going through the small pleasures in life, heartbreaks et al.
The film introduces Aditya Babu, the producer of Jagadam, Aarya 2 as the hero and retains Roma, as the lead actress from the original version. The film certified A drew in crowds for the sheer concept of having a male studying in a women’s college and one expected a lot of vulgarity but the story though a decent one suffers from more than one flaw.
The producer cum actor who had already worked as a hero in a Kannada film in which he was reasonably okay had chosen a complicated plot in Aarya 2 and managed to whip up a convincing success at the BO, his Jagadam though a dud is still remembered for passionately and compulsively following a single theme. But sadly when it came to him, Aditya falters in choosing the best for himself, the result is an aural and a visual assault on the audiences.
The film could have ended in one hour flat but that has been extended, dragged mercilessly. The first half of the film starts off cheekily, well-paced but after that it is just a plain bore with a script that makes less sense, appears uncooked. The editing is poor.
Aditya does well in emotional scenes but there is a lot to be desired in his dances or expressions. He has an ideal physicality but he is good only in parts and wears wooden expression most of the time. The film designed for the B and C audiences might give them the trivial thrills but might not keep the multiplex audience hooked to their seats. The movie also doesn’t appear slick, and even performances from veterans like Ahuti Prasad, Brahmanandam are clichéd and low-key. The film is a disappointment.

Telugu cinema had come up with many stories revolving around police either showing them in a condescending manner or eulogizing their achievements. Golimar gives a reason for the police department to take pride in their job and for others an opportunity to salute them. Puri Jagannath’s latest film that has Gopichand playing the hero is supposed to be inspired by the achievements of Encounter Specialist Dayanayak.

The film has Gopichand as Gangaram an orphan who joins as a child worker in a small restaurant, working in the mornings and studying late nights to become a police officer, his only dream, goal. He does and proves soon that the police is not meant to merely file FIRs in the police stations but have a larger role to play. The immediate task is to wipe out the offices run by two mafia dons Khalid and Talwa who have been operating for the past 15 years from Malaysia and India respectively. Though they are primarily extortionists they are into dark trade that is yet to be unraveled.

Gangaram makes his qualities visible that the first and foremost way to kill an opponent is to threaten and weaken them morally, hit them on the mind. Puri Jagan who’s been on a lean patch strikes back with a cop story that has vague similarities with Pokiri. While the thrill element comes after interval in Pokiri, Puri here establishes the identity of the protagonist in the beginning itself and weaves the narrative interestingly without bringing in monotony.
In the latter part of the film, the story threatens to run on predictable lines but falls in place quickly with some more twists and turns coming up at the right time. Nasser who plays the hero’s father in Pokiri throws up a surprise here. He lends an element of believability to both the roles with equal ease. Roja might have been unlucky in politics but her stint has definitely helped in portraying confidence, as a woman in command on screen in her second innings. She’s given a stupendous performance in an emotionally charged role in the latter half of the story.

Priyamani gels well with her and the mother daughter duo prove to be an asset to the film. Thankfully the make up isn’t bad and Priyamani trots in skimpily clad costumes on the beaches as well as acting as a bubbly woman with panache. Not revealing Ali most of the time has indeed helped.

It’s not about Gangaram saying “Dhamki dhena padtha hai” always, when he is done with eliminating one local villain, he moves abroad to finish off the drama. But before there are interesting changes in his life. Had it been only wiping off the criminals, the film would have been incomplete, so the director adds another angle to him. The hero turns into a gangster, extortionist and appears like Suri to give an exclusive to the media which precipitates the movement of the story.

The love angle is not awkward, songs and dances are in total sync, the songs rock and Priyamani is all gay abandon..freaking out on her jigs and work the spirit spills onto the screen. All the songs might sound mediocre while listening, but onscreen they are very good. The cop who doesn’t believe in payments only settlements, stays away from women fyi falls for the girl and all’s well that ends well. The humour is subtle nothing over the top whether it’s Roja pulling her daughter away from the cop’s arms and telling her to weep over her shoulders or Gangaram giving gyan to the shot don, “Padhi mandhini mosam cheste nuvvu baagupadthaav kaani ninnu nuvvu mosam chesukunte sankanaakipothaav.”

A theenmaar to Golimar..Gopichand stands tall here not because of his height but for giving a thoroughly entertaining performance
